about me
Hi everyone! My name is Serena Trang and I am currently studying at the University of Texas, Austin for my Masters of Arts in Design with a Focus on Health. I'm also a proud anteater alumni from University of California, Irvine, where I studied Public Health Policy & Psychological Science. I am a designer that prioritizes meaningful and intentional designs. Empathy, creativity, and community are three values that I experience in my everyday life that has heavily shaped my career aspirations.
With the intersection of my community and what I've learned while attending university, I've grown a passion for learning about MedTech, biotech, and personal wellness. I want to be able to use my skills in a space that requires them and help to make human ingenuity accessible and universal for all.

Aspire to Inspire. CampMed at UCI is a student-run high school outreach program that was founded by UCI students. They saw a need for a local program that would target socio-economically disadvantaged high school students interested in pursuing higher education, especially in the health science fields.
I participated for two years managing students and their faculty. Being a part of this organization was a testament to my passion for mentorship and uplifting those who need it most.

I started doing dance since the age of 3. It's been my main connection to my heritage and was my first point of artistic exploration.
Some interesting places I've been able to perform is on ABC news, the LA Zoo, and even Disneyland!
i love to eat.
